how to calculate the size of a stump??

When we quote a stump removal, we aren’t just grinding the flat top you see; we are grinding the entire root flare and the visible surface roots to ensure the area is ready for grass or replanting.

To get the most accurate estimate, follow these three simple steps:

Don't just measure the cut surface of the wood. Look at where the trunk meets the ground. Follow the wood down until it disappears into the soil. This is the flare.

• Place a tape measure on the ground at the outermost edge of the root flare on one side.
• Pull it across the center to the outermost edge on the opposite side.
• Pro Tip: If you have a surface root "hump" sticking out further than the trunk, include that in your measurement!
